Breakout Live Swansea opened in 2016 as a small side project and has grown into a full escape room venue with three exhilarating games and a fourth in development. We took an empty office in the heart of Swansea and turned it into a purpose built adventure space, a place that brings people back into the city and supports local regeneration.
Every game here is original. We design, build, wire, code, paint and test everything in house, from the first sketch to the final lock click. You will not find our puzzles anywhere else. We prototype each idea, playtest it with real teams, then refine it until it delivers clear aha moments, fair challenge, and a satisfying flow. No cheap jump scares for their own sake, no random red herrings, just smart, story led gameplay that rewards observation, communication and teamwork.
Our hosts are part game masters, part storytellers, and part safety crew. They give you a focused briefing, watch your game on camera, and nudge you only when you need it. You are never physically locked in, you can leave at any time, and the room is monitored throughout. We reset and check each game between groups so you get the experience as intended.
Who plays with us, families, friends, date nights, birthday groups, stag and hen parties, and corporate teams. Groups are private for your booking only, recommended ages are 10 and up, and team sizes are 2 to 7 per room. We are in Swansea city centre, a short walk from NCP Swansea Kingsway parking. If anyone in your group has mobility, sensory, or access needs, contact us before booking and we will give clear guidance on the best room and any adjustments we can make.
